Adult Vocational Programs
    
The goals of the Easter Seals Adult Vocational Programs are to empower each client to achieve peak work performance, increase social skills, develop an effective means of communication and foster the acquisition of functional life skills for independence in his/her community.
Philosophy
Following development by a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach, the Individualized Performance Plan (IPP) serves as the core of programming for all clients ages 18 and older.
Program Goals
Easter Seals Adult Vocational Programs are dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people. Clients are encouraged to independently initiate and perform a variety of tasks and ultimately become autonomous workers. Vocational programming is based on three domains: communication, behavior and social relatedness. Instruction is individualized in order to meet the unique needs of each client. In addition to functional work skills training, the program addresses the total person through the following services: vocational skills training, social skills training and special recreational activities. Our ultimate goal is for clients to maximize their potential and integrate into the community as frequently as possible.
