“Rotary and Easter Seals: United Again to Change the World for People with Autism,” is a multi-year campaign launched in October 2007 with the support of District Governor Art Davis and incoming District Governor Michael Slevnik. It is their hope that through Rotary District 6450’s fundraising efforts under the leadership of the Rotary Clubs of Chicago, Chicago Far North, Chicago Lakeview and Chicago Northwest they will achieve their goal of raising $2.5 million to showcase, right here in Chicago, Rotary’s support of services for people living with autism. In achieving this goal, Rotary District 6450 will be appropriately recognized at the new Easter Seals Therapeutic School and Center for Autism Research for its past, present and future support and partnership. The new center will be located in the Illinois Medical District and will provide education, research, training, early intervention, school-to-work transition and independent living capabilities for individuals living with autism. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, Rotary District 6450 and the Rotary Clubs of Chicago, Chicago Far North, Chicago Lakeview and Chicago Northwest! |
